Leticia Esquivel

Leticia is a dedicated community leader and mother who believes that families raising children flourish when they are surrounded by strong, judgement-free communities. She’s originally from Toluca, Estado de Mexico, and currently resides in Austin, Texas.

Leticia has multiple certifications that form the foundation of her holistic approach to supporting families. She holds a certification in Community Health Work from Central Health, she’s a bilingual educator, as well as a SPED Paraprofessional (special education teacher’s aid) and 300-hour Certified Yoga Instructor. She currently works as an early childhood development teacher, accompanying young children and their families during these critical years of early development. 

Leticia has collaborated with a wide array of community organizations over the course of her career, fostering spaces of learning, support, and connection for the families in her community.

As a mother, Leticia has learned that every family has its own unique history and that families who are raising children do best when they have a supportive community. She believes strongly in the power of ALAS to use education, empathy, and human connection to help every family feel seen, respected, and supported, offering spaces where together we can learn, grow, and foster well-being for all.
