Children’s Activities Support

Luz is a caring, compassionate, and dedicated community member with experience in childcare, caregiving, housekeeping, and community service. Originally from Mexico, Luz has lived in Austin, Texas, for the past ten years and has dedicated herself to supporting children, families, and her community.

Luz has volunteered with several community organizations and has a strong passion for helping others. She has also been involved with her church, where she has participated in groups and helped prepare and serve food for the community. Through her experiences, Luz has developed a reputation as someone who is always willing to lend a helping hand and support others with kindness and compassion.

In 2024, Luz participated in one of the ALAS women’s groups. She felt welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout the experience, and the sense of community she found inspired her to become more involved with ALAS programming. Her experience as a participant helped her recognize the importance of creating spaces where women feel valued, supported, and connected.

Today, Luz brings that same spirit of care and compassion to her work with the community. She is the helping hand who offers support with love, patience, and genuine concern for others. Whether caring for children, assisting families, volunteering, or participating in community activities, Luz approaches everything she does with a generous heart and a commitment to making a positive difference.

Luz enjoys going to church, spending time at the library, learning new things, and participating in community activities. She continues to seek opportunities to grow, learn, and give back to the community that has become an important part of her life.
