Maria is an entrepreneur, community advocate, and dedicated volunteer committed to supporting immigrant families. She is the Owner and Floral Designer of Blossom Flower Studio, a home-based floral studio serving events and gatherings. Originally from Lima, Peru, Maria immigrated to the United States more than thirty years ago, and her experience of rebuilding her life continues to shape her work and service.

Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Peru. After arriving in Los Angeles, she rebuilt her life from the ground up — studying English at community colleges and discovering floral design as a creative outlet. Sustained by a tight-knit immigrant community that helped her find her footing, she opened an at-home daycare that allowed her to support young children and their families. After moving to Texas, she pursued her passion for floral design while deepening her community involvement, volunteering with Austin-area nonprofits for the past decade.

She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and daughter and enjoys floral design, cooking, and gardening in her free time.
